Not A Christmas Color in Sight

Christmas will be here and gone in just a few short days and then we will be longing for the return of spring.  I love the idea of a white Christmas but Im quite happy to see green once the holidays are over.  For much of the fall season, our hooking consists of holiday themed mats in festive Christmas color.    However, in my latest project there is not a Christmas color in sight.  I designed “Ogee” with this soft color palette in mind.   It will reside in a blue and white bedroom with accents of soft yellow.  The geometric design of the ogee is an excellent design element when mixing patterns in a room.  Rectangular pillows are also a nice alternative to the traditional square cushions, especially in groupings.  This pattern is “Ogee” and measures 16×24.  It is available as a pattern and kit.

Wool used in this piece:

Dark blue – Soldier boy light (dyed solid)

Light blue- Georgian Bay blue (Martina Lesar Wool Fabric)

Off White- Painted Cottage (Martina Lesar Wool Fabric)

Yellow- Algonquin Gold (Martina Lesar Wool Fabric)
