Happy New Year. Yes, January marks the beginning of a year that will be busy with rug hooking events in Ontario. Most notably is the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild’s 50th Anniversary Conference which will be held on April 29th-May 1st at the Deerhurst Resort in the Muskokas. Information for this event is posted on the www.ohcg.org website. Its only 4 months away so don’t delay booking your room and classes. It promises to be a record breaker for attendance.
January is also the month that the Georgetown Rug Hooking Guild is hosting its annual open house. I will be vending at this event and it will be the first public debut of Eugenia Koumpoulis patterns. If you haven’t seen her designs, check them out on the pattern pages of my website. You can email or call me to reserve a pattern to be picked up at the Georgetown event. The open house will be held on Saturday January 23rd from 9-4 at St. Andrews United Church. It is located at 89 Mountainview Road in Georgetown Ontario. So mark your calendars and start the year off with a day of rug hooking with friends at the Georgetown open house. I will see you there.

I think the Deerhurst conference is April 17-19? You have April 29-May 1st?
Hi Karen. This is an older post. This was a few years ago when the annual was at Deerhurst for the OHCG 50th anniversary.
