Long Winter, More Hooking

I am not a fan of cold weather, and this winter we have had more than our share of frigid temperatures.  Spring has arrived but it certainly doesn’t feel like it here in Caledon.   On a positive note, being closed up indoors does allow us to get more rug hooking done.  I’ve been receiving emails with photos of rugs that have been completed this winter.  A very large rug, Sarah/Leah floral was hooked by Mia Wilkinson and she has done a superb job of colour planning and her technique is superb.  If I recall, this pattern is 5×7.  I’ve hooked this rug for myself in blues and creams, and have seen it hooked in other colours, but it never ceases to amaze me that it can look so different and wonderful in other colour plans.  I never do the same rug twice but Mia’s version sure is tempting.  Just want to add that the detail photo is of the same rug.  I know how difficult it is to get true colours in photos. The first picture was taken with a phone so its not as accurate as the detail photo.  Happy Easter!  Studio will be closed on Friday and will reopen on Saturday.
